Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng)

A 666-metre steel bridge shaped like a dragon, crossing the Han River. On Saturday and Sunday nights at 9 PM, the dragon breathes fire and water — a must-see spectacle in the city centre. The views along the riverfront at night are stunning.
Bà Nà Hills

Home to the famous Golden Bridge — a giant pair of stone hands holding a pedestrian bridge high in the clouds. The cable car ride holds a Guinness World Record for longest non-stop single-track cable car. The hilltop has a French village, gardens, and an indoor amusement park.
Mỹ Khê Beach

Forbes Magazine named it one of the six most attractive beaches on the planet. Soft white sand stretching for kilometres, gentle waves, and a backdrop of the Sơn Trà mountains. Perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or a beach run. Plenty of seafood restaurants right along the shore.
Sơn Trà Mountain (Monkey Mountain)

A nature reserve just 10km from the city centre. Home to the endangered Red-shanked Douc langur (“the queen of primates”), a 67-metre tall Lady Buddha statue at Linh Ứng Pagoda, and panoramic views over the entire coastline. Rent a motorbike and explore the winding coastal roads.
Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn)

A cluster of five marble and limestone hills — each named after a natural element (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth). Climb the 156 steps to the top of Thủy Sơn (Water Mountain) for caves, Buddhist sanctuaries, and sweeping views of the coast. The marble carving village at the base is worth a stop.
Han Market (Chợ Hàn)
A bustling central market perfect for souvenirs, local snacks, and fresh produce. Great spot to pick up dried seafood, coffee, and conical hats. The dried beef salad (bò khô) and mango cakes are popular take-home items. Be prepared to haggle.
Hải Vân Pass

One of the most scenic coastal roads in Vietnam, winding over the Hải Vân mountain range (500m elevation). The 21 km pass offers breathtaking views of the coastline, Lang Co Beach, and the mountains. Rent a motorbike or book a private car. Top Gear called it “a deserted ribbon of perfection” – it remains a must-do for any traveller in central Vietnam.
Cham Museum (Bảo tàng Chăm)

The world’s finest collection of Cham sculpture and art, housed in a beautiful French-colonial building near the Han River. The exhibits showcase sandstone carvings dating from the 7th to 15th centuries, including Hindu deities, dancers, and guardian figures from the once-powerful Champa Kingdom. Allow 1–2 hours.
Sun World Asia Park

An amusement park with ride zones themed around Asian countries. The highlight is the Sun Wheel (115 metres tall) – one of the largest in the world. The park comes alive at night with neon lights, carnival games, and a lake show. A fun evening activity, especially if travelling with kids or a group.
